My favourite portraits always show the relationship my subjects have with their environments. The places we take up say so much about our passions and personal stories. What I love about this photograph is that it speaks so truly about Mehnaz’s passion for learning and her commitment to education. Mehnaz just finished her Masters of Science thesis, but I am sure she will continue to pursue intellectual growth her entire life.
